KICKOFF TO SUMMER: A WEEKEND IN CENTRAL OREGON
THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT CENTRAL OREGON THAT I FALL IN LOVE WITH EVERY TIME I VISIT. BETWEEN THE SNOW-CAPPED CASCADE MOUNTAIN RANGES, THE GORGEOUS ALPINE LAKES OR THE OUTDOORSY CITY OF BEND, I CAN'T HELP BUT HAVE A SMILE ON MY FACE.
Before my last week of school, one of my favorite travel partners (my Mom) and I decided to take a spontaneous trip to Central Oregon as a belated Mother's Day trip/kickoff to summer weekend. My Mom and I have always been close and love doing the same things together. So we spent the next couple of days enjoying lots of delicious food, visiting cute shops and local markets in downtown Bend and spending some much needed quality time outdoors.
