A weekend in utah
FROM THE NATURAL STONE ARCHES, TO THE VAST DESERT, TO THE BEAUTIFUL CANYONS, UTAH IS A STATE THAT I'VE ALWAYS DREAMED OF GOING TO. WITH THE HELP OF A FRIEND AND MY DETERMINATION MIXED WITH SPONTANEITY, I BOOKED A TRIP TO THIS WONDROUS STATE AND EVEN IF IT WAS JUST FOR THE WEEKEND, MY DREAM OF GOING UTAH CAME TRUE.
WE HAD A PLAN AND A VISION FOR WHAT THE ROAD TRIP WAS GOING TO BE LIKE, BUT WE THREW IT OUT ON DAY TWO WHEN THE SCORCHING HEAT IN MOAB, UTAH GOT THE BEST OF US. WITHOUT MUCH OF A SCHEDULE, WE CONTINUED TO HAVE SOME OF THE BEST LAUGHS AND ADVENTURES.
SOME OF THE BEST TRIPS HAPPEN WHEN YOU COMPLETELY LET GO OF EXPECTATIONS AND PUT YOURSELF OUT THERE. ALONG THE WAY I MET SOME OF THE BEST PEOPLE AND I COULD NOT BE MORE GRATEFUL FOR THE FRIENDSHIPS AND MEMORIES THAT WERE MADE IN THIS BEAUTIFUL STATE. I CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK.

THATCHER FINCH BRAND MEET-UP
As soon as I landed, I got picked up from the airport and went straight to a brand meet-up hosted by Thatcher Finch in downtown Salt Lake City. A variety of photographers and models came together to support local clothing brands. It was a great start to the trip and I got the opportunity meet some of the sweetest people and photograph some products along the way.
ALBION BASIN
For the first full day of our Utah trip, we woke up around 4am to head over to Albion Basin for sunrise. This spot felt like something out of a movie. We wandered around beautiful canyons covered with wildflowers.
ARCHES NATIONAL PARK
From Albion Basin, we packed up our car and headed to a campsite near Arches National Parks for the night. The next morning we went on a hike towards the infamous Delicate Arch. I fell in love with running around red rocks all day and exploring the stone arches. It felt like another world compared to the Pacific Northwest scene that I'm used to at home.
DEADHORSE POINT STATE PARK
On our way back home from Moab, we decided to stop at Deadhorse Point State Park. None of us have ever heard of it or been there, but it turned out to be one of our favorite sops on the trip. The views reminded me of a mix between Horseshoe Bend and the Grand Canyon. I was blown away by the beautiful sights of this place and would go back there again in a heartbeat.
ALPINE LOOP
A last night well spent in Utah hiking through a canyon in Alpine Loop. We set up our hammocks to enjoy the view for sunset. At the end of the trip, with dirty feet and messy hair, I wouldn't trade any of it for this peaceful night.
